People often are interested to know about "county" boundaries in Ontario, especially from a birding perspective since using the county as the lower tier subdivision for bird listing purposes is so prevalent with our neighbours to the south. eBird automatically assigns a "county" to all sightings in Canada and the United States but what is a county here?
The following map shows the Ontario census divisions, which are roughly equivalent to a US county (some are even called counties). Enjoy!
